8 February, 2009:

Chennai : It was a glorious Sunday morning and the weather was just perfect. Just like the breeze, the crowd slowly trickled in and made its way to the many stalls. In spite of it being the very last day of the Hindu Spiritual and Services Fair organized by GFCH, almost 20,000 people came in to see Hinduism in all its diversity; yet unified.
A striking feature of the third day of the fair was people who came in on the first day, brought in their friends and family, to not only view the fair but also experience and understand the amount of work Hindu organizations across the country were performing.  The constant inflow of V.I.P's like Mrs.Geetha Ravi, State Secretary RSS, R.V.B.S.Maniyan, Film actress Revathy, C.V Narasiman, former head of C.B.I and president of Vivekananda Educational Society only further helped boost the morale.
The day witnessed a slow and gradual upswing in the spirits of both the workers and the general audience that came to view the fair. With Quizzes and Sanskrit fun learning sessions the afternoon was nothing but stimulating for both the mind and the spirit. The evening was kept just as vibrant by an awe-inspiring yoga performance and soulful bhajans by the students of the Vivekananda Educational Society. Soon after,  the valedictory function was held. Swami Mitranada, Organizing Secretary of the GFCH Fair and the Director of All India Chinmaya Yuva Kendra concluded aptly "The Fair does not end here, but here begins our new journey of serving India together". A fitting statement to denote the vision and passion the organizers have to serve. The evening ended with a visionary theatre show called "Chatrapati Shivaji" based on the life of India's greatest Hindu king of the same name.
All in all the entire fair was a fantastic execution of a great Vision. When one of the participants was asked what she thought of this event, she quietly said "I quote Robert frost - I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep" .
